Demand gen is utterly broken. It's overly complicated & lacks the soul and creativity that consumers deserve. I promise there's a better way. Here's the 3-pronged content engine we're building for companies at storyarb: Principles: - Treat your content as the product, not as marketing for another product - Unique insights + Unique voice + Unique packaging = Unique content - Pick topics that make your Market of 1 better at their job Channels: 1) Deeply researched long-form content Purpose: create data-driven OR interview-based website content that is deep enough & insightful enough such that a reader feels the need to bookmark & reference later. Good examples: Lenny Rachitsky: "How the biggest consumer apps got first 1,000 users" - Lenny interviewed hundreds of founders, identified patterns, and broke down the seven strategies consumer apps used to grow. Carta: "State of Private Markets: Q3 2024" Report - Using tons of internal funding data by Carta customers to pull together trends in startup funding for the quarter. HubSpot: "My First Million's Business Idea Database" - Aggregating & organizing 57 startup ideas shared by past MFM podcast guests into an e-mail gated database 2) Editorial email newsletter Purpose: create the best industry read for your market of 1 that allows you to build an owned audience of current/future customers. Good examples: - Content Examined by Alex Garcia: the best read for consumer content marketers, which acts as a perfect nurturing tool for his community, course, and agency - Big Desk Energy by Tyler Denk 🐝: a window into building a high-growth startup as it's happening by the founder of beehiiv - Exploding Topics: a snapshot of 4 emerging trends (based on google search data) that founders & investors should be aware of. 3) Personal brand social content Purpose: allow your market of 1 to build a parasocial relationship with your company through 1-4 personalities (execs, founders, etc) who enable connection with your faceless brand. Good examples: - Adam Robinson: fully transparent monthly breakdowns of his companies' (Retention.com & RB2B) performance with lessons learned & plans to fix key issues - Peter Walker: Head of Insights at Carta uses first party data from the company to share unique startup ecosystem trends + his own POV - Kieran Flanagan: AI & GTM expert who shares deep marketing insights, playbooks, and predictions that help build his & HubSpot's brand If you want help building this 3-pronged engine at your company, shoot me a DM or email at alex@storyarb[.]com.

How Jo Malone London is Redefining Immersive Branding Forget traditional pop-ups. The future of brand engagement is here, and it smells like... ginger beer in a Shanghai wet market? #JoMalone's latest campaign is turning heads ~~ transforming entire spaces and transporting customers into living, breathing brand stories. Here's why every designer and brand manager needs to take note: Storyliving > Storytelling: - By converting a local wet market into a British antique fair, Jo Malone isn't just telling a story—they're inviting customers to live it. This immersive approach creates deeper emotional connections and memorable experiences. - British heritage with hyper-local Chinese elements creates a unique, shareable moment that resonates on both global and local levels. It's the perfect recipe for viral potential. - In a world of digital overload, Jo Malone reminds us of the power of physical, multi-sensory experiences. The sights, sounds, and (of course) scents of their pop-up create a 360-degree brand immersion. - Celebrity Integration Done Right. By weaving local celebrities into the experience, Jo Malone amplifies reach while maintaining authenticity. It's not just about star power—it's about creating relatable touchpoints within the brand narrative. - Product as Hero, Environment as Stage. Each fragrance gets its own "stall," turning product showcasing into an adventure of discovery. It's a masterclass in making your offering the star of an expansive brand universe. The takeaway? In 2024, winning brands can't only sell product —they need to build worlds for customers to explore, share, and remember. Is your brand ready to take the leap from storytelling to storyliving? Let's discuss in the comments! 👇 #ImmersiveBranding #StoryLiving #ExperientialMarketing #BrandEngagement #branding #experiencedesign #retail #inspiration #creativity

I found a page ranking #1 despite breaking every SEO rule in the book. Here's what I discovered about this page that's ranking for a keyword with 58,000 monthly searches: ↳ DR 22 ↳ Horrible URL structure; includes year and month ↳ Meta description is ridiculously long at 192 WORDS (not characters) ↳ Has less than 1/10th the backlinks of the next best ↳ Looks like it was designed in 1995 But here's the fascinating part - despite breaking these many SEO "rules," it's outranking websites that are DR 90+. The reason? Experience. The page is about a specific type of bread, and the author has done something remarkable. They've purchased every single brand of this bread available, photographed each one, and provided detailed feedback about whether they'd buy it again. This isn't an isolated case. I've observed this pattern across various industries, and I believe this is what future SERPs will increasingly look like. Google is prioritizing content that: - Shows real effort and dedication - Demonstrates genuine experience - Comes from actual users with real perspectives You might have noticed this trend with Reddit threads appearing more frequently in search results, too. It's the same principle - authentic, user-generated content taking precedence. Why is Google moving in this direction? Two main reasons: 1. This type of content provides better training data for their LLMs 2. It better serves user intent and needs I tested this approach with an architecture/interior design client. Instead of writing generic content about a specific design style, we created questions for the architects to answer via voice notes, which we then transformed into content. The key takeaway is that you need to develop a system for capturing and showcasing genuine experiences and unique perspectives in your content. This means incorporating real-world knowledge, personal insights, and authentic viewpoints into your content strategy. Without this experiential element, your content risks getting lost in the growing sea of AI-generated material that users increasingly ignore. And if you have real content, it seems that you can break every other rule in SEO and get away with it. What do you think?

100 years ago, a heavy breakfast wasn’t a thing. But with the power of marketing, here’s why we 'need' it: Before the 1920s, the American breakfast was relatively light. Many started their day with some combination of roll, coffee, and juice. However, Edward Bernays, a nephew of Sigmund Freud, was about to use his uncle's psychological insights to forever change the American breakfast landscape (and the world’s). Bernays was approached by the Beech-Nut Packing Company, a brand that wanted to increase its sales of bacon. They asked Bernays to help them tap into the market. With a keen understanding of human behaviour and the power of influence, Bernays saw an opportunity to link bacon to a hearty breakfast, which at that time wasn't the norm. He started by consulting with 4,500 doctors. Instead of directly promoting bacon, he asked them a question: "Do you think a heavier, more protein-rich breakfast could be more beneficial for the American public than a lighter one?" He framed the question around health and energy, and the doctors, agreeing with the premise, endorsed a heavier breakfast. Bernays then compiled their endorsements and distributed the findings to various medical journals and newspapers, effectively turning the opinion into a medical recommendation. The result? The "heavier breakfast" narrative took hold, and since bacon and eggs were presented as a prime example of this kind of meal, the public began to associate them with the ideal breakfast. Beech-Nut's bacon sales soared as a consequence. Bernays's campaign was groundbreaking. It wasn't just about promoting a product but about altering a cultural norm—changing the way we think about the first meal of the day. The success of this campaign demonstrates the power of public relations and mass influence techniques in food, which have only grown more sophisticated with time. So, while bacon had been eaten for breakfast prior to Bernays's campaign, it was his strategic public relations effort that helped to cement its place as an essential component of the traditional American breakfast. And this has translated to heavier breakfasts in many other cultures around the world. And so if you believe you ‘need’ a heavier breakfast, or breakfast at all, you can thank the power of marketing. Unless you have a medical condition that requires you to eat earlier in the day, let's be mindful of how we feel and eat based on our needs.

Love this campaign by Stella. "Worth it" ✨ Playing off a familiar scene we all know. That claustrophobic bar. Enter "Claustrobar" You're crammed shoulder to shoulder... Getting bumped left and right. Then you get your first sip. Makes it all worth it. 👀 Or does it...? We're seeing the OPPOSITE trend for B2B events. Marketers want smaller more niche events. Think dinners with 15 to 25 people. ONLY the exact ICP they want. We just did our Q1 retro at The Alliance 🧵 NEW Q1 EVENT DATA FOR YOU: Dinners under 25 people drove 3.4 times higher average pipeline per attendee than 200+ person field events Sponsor satisfaction scores were 27 points higher for private dinners vs traditional happy hours Events with personalized pre invite cadences had a 35 percent average acceptance rate among ICP targets Renewal rates on sponsor programs anchored around curated dinners hit 82 percent, compared to 58 percent for "open bar" events Thats why we're doubling down on niche events. Dinners and intimate VIP exeperiences. Why they worked so well: Step 1: ICP first targeting Every attendee list starts with sponsor aligned ICP firmographic filters: Company size, role seniority, industry fit, existing buying intent. Step 2: Personalized outreach Dedicated in house teams send direct invites framed around relevance. We track weekly acceptance rates and optimize touchpoints if we fall below 30 percent. Step 3: Pre event intel Sponsors get attendee insights two weeks before the dinner. They know which companies and titles are coming so they can plan the content PRECISELY for that audience to make it hyper relevant. Step 4: Structured conversations No loud music. No random crowds. Strategic seating charts and guided conversation topics aligned to the topics attendees and sponsors care about. This makes the experiences great for BOTH the company sponsoring and the attendees. Ends in a win win for everyone. Example for you: At our Austin dinner for a sponsor in Jan - 17 handpicked senior leaders attended - 76 percent of attendees booked follow up demos within 21 days - The sponsor sourced $3.2 million in net new pipeline which was 3.1 times their original goal TLDR Invest in more dinners ✌️

The gaming world is on fire as 2024 draws close, with blockbuster releases and groundbreaking innovations capturing players' imaginations. As we enter the holiday season, the video game industry is serving up a feast of new titles and technological advancements that promise to redefine interactive entertainment. 🕹️ Console Wars Evolve: The battle for living room supremacy intensifies, with Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro rumors gaining traction. This upgraded console is expected to push the boundaries of 4K gaming and potentially introduce 8K capabilities. At the same time, Microsoft's Xbox Series X focuses on expanding its cloud gaming services and game pass offerings. Nintendo, not to be outdone, is reportedly gearing up for a next-generation Switch announcement, promising to blend handheld and home console gaming in innovative new ways. 🌐 Metaverse Momentum: The concept of interconnected virtual worlds is gaining serious traction in gaming. Major publishers and tech giants invest heavily in creating persistent, immersive environments where players can socialize, make, and play across multiple platforms. These metaverse-like experiences blur the lines between games, social media, and digital economies, with some titles introducing blockchain-based assets and cryptocurrencies to facilitate in-game transactions and ownership. 🤖 AI Revolution in NPCs: Artificial Intelligence transforms non-player characters (NPCs) from scripted automatons to dynamic, responsive entities. Advanced language models and behavior trees enable NPCs to engage in natural conversations, remember player interactions, and adapt their responses based on the game world's state. This leap in NPC intelligence creates more immersive and unpredictable gaming experiences, particularly in open-world and role-playing games where player choice and environmental storytelling are paramount. 🎮 Cross-Platform Play Becomes Standard: The walls between gaming ecosystems crumble as more titles embrace cross-platform play. This trend allows friends to play together regardless of their chosen hardware and fosters larger, more diverse player communities. Developers are rising to the challenge of balancing gameplay across different input methods and performance capabilities, resulting in more inclusive and accessible gaming experiences that prioritize fun and social connection over platform exclusivity. 🕶️ VR Goes Mainstream: Virtual Reality is shedding its niche status and stepping into the spotlight as a mainstream gaming platform. With more affordable and user-friendly headsets hitting the market and a growing library of high-quality VR titles, the technology is finally delivering on its promise of truly immersive gaming. From heart-pounding action games to serene exploration experiences, VR offers unique gameplay possibilities that attract both hardcore gamers and casual players alike, signaling a potential paradigm shift in how we interact with digital entertainment. #GamingTrends

The ultimate "Behind the Scenes" vs. "Final Product" flex. Have you been there? Most brand marketing still relies on legacy, static playbooks. This is what happens when real-time spatial technology and AI-driven automation take over. Instead of traditional cut-and-paste production, this single-take FPV drone flythrough showcases a luxury resort in real time—with the pilot navigating tight corridors, pools, and guest suites while sitting in a moving golf cart. Beyond the stunning visuals, this represents a fundamental shift in how tech is redefining digital marketing and operations: 1. Spatial Intelligence Over Static Media Standard photography captures moments; spatial tech captures flow. FPV precision combined with immersive hardware creates a 1:1 sense of digital presence, giving potential guests a authentic, uninterrupted visual tour before they ever set foot on the property. 2. AI-Driven Workflow Acceleration Behind single-take shots like this, AI edge processing, automated flight stabilization, and dynamic real-time color grading eliminate weeks of post-production. What used to require a full film crew, heavy lighting rigs, and months of editing now happens dynamically on the fly. 3. Predictive Personalization & Spatial Data Captured visual maps aren't just for promotional content. Paired with spatial AI models, these precise 3D environments can feed directly into digital twins, interactive room previews, personalized virtual concierge experiences, and predictive hospitality operations. The Executive Playbook: Show the Machine Behind the Magic: Audiences value authenticity. Revealing the technical execution creates double the engagement. Compress Production Timelines: Utilizing automated flight pathing and smart camera tech cuts media asset acquisition costs by orders of magnitude. Bridge Physical & Digital (Phygital): Immersive visual capture is the first step toward building AI-powered digital storefronts and spatial search assets. Is your organization leveraging spatial tech and AI to reimagine customer acquisition, or are you still relying on traditional media pipelines? #SpatialComputing #FPV #AIinMarketing #HospitalityTech #ContentInnovation #DigitalTransformation #FutureOfMarketing

This Volkswagen ad from 1959 changed advertising forever. Why This Ad Is Brilliant: 1. Minimalist Design: - The vast amount of empty space makes the small Beetle stand out even more. - It visually reinforces the message: Think Small. 2. Contrarian Messaging: - At a time when bigger cars were the norm, Volkswagen flipped the narrative. - Instead of apologizing for being small, they turned it into a strength (easier parking, fuel efficiency, reliability). 3. Conversational Copy: - The body text is friendly, down-to-earth, and engaging. - It acknowledges consumer doubts but immediately counters them with benefits. 4. Trust and Transparency: - The ad doesn't try to oversell. Instead, it presents facts in a straightforward way. - The honesty helped build credibility and brand loyalty. The Takeaway for Marketers & Copywriters: - Flip the script → Challenge industry norms to stand out. - Use visuals strategically → The design should reinforce the message. - Keep it simple → Short, clear copy often wins over complex messaging. - Sell the why, not the what → Focus on the real-world benefits, not just the product features.

Building Coherent Market Insights | Delivering 6X Growth Opportunities for Businesses | Business Strategist | Startup Growth Advisor

From Mortgaged Home to ₹2,955 Crore Exit. Startup culture glorifies speed. But Mohit Yadav built something radically unfashionable: Discipline. And that discipline culminated in early 2025 when Hindustan Unilever acquired a 90.5% stake in Minimalist at a valuation of ₹2,955 crore. It has no vanity metrics and no celebrity endorsements, just surgical execution. ✅ The Risk Was Personal Before the exit headline, there was leverage. After 2 earlier ventures that failed to scale, including a children’s apparel brand, Mohit didn’t have VC backing to cushion another attempt. So he did something most founders won’t: He mortgaged his house. It was a ₹1 crore loan, no institutional capital, and no fallback plan. As he later shared on Shark Tank India, failure wasn’t just reputational; it was existential. This wasn’t skin in the game. It was the roof. Launched in October 2020, Minimalist entered one of India’s noisiest categories, skincare. Instead of playing the beauty marketing game, they inverted it. ✅ Minimalist vs Industry Playbook: Marketing: Education-first transparency vs celebrity-driven aspiration 1. Product Strategy: Active ingredients vs vague natural positioning. 2. Unit Economics: Profitable from Month 1 vs years of CAC burn: COGS: 30% (higher ingredient quality) vs a typical 15–20%. They invested in formulation, not influencers. They built pull, not push. ✅ Hyper-Growth Without Hyper-Burn The numbers were clinical. Sold out the first inventory in 48 hrs with only 300 Instagram followers. Crossed ₹100 cr in revenue in 8 months. - FY24 revenue: ₹350 crore (+89%) - Net profit: ₹10.8 cr - FY25 ARR: ₹515 cr - Positive EBITDA of ₹18 cr despite expansion ✅ Let me share #Rajspectives 1. Minimalist wasn’t anti-growth. It was anti-noise. While competitors spent 50–70% of revenue on customer acquisition, Minimalist doubled down on ingredient transparency, dermatological credibility, honest labelling, and clinical positioning. And that builds trust faster than paid reach. 2. Learning from Failure: Before Minimalist, Mohit launched Free Will, a customised haircare brand. It failed. But it taught him that Indian consumers didn’t distrust products; they distrusted opacity. 3. Global Ambition Before Exit: Unlike many D2C brands that remain India-bound, Minimalist expanded into the US, UK, the Middle East & Southeast Asia before the acquisition. In 2026, Mohit Yadav joined the panel of Shark Tank India Season 5. His presence signals something important. He represents founders who understand both the stress of leverage & the power of operational clarity. Minimalist proves in a crowded market, the loudest brand doesn’t always win, the clearest one does. By rejecting the burn-heavy D2C template & focusing on ingredient integrity, disciplined margins, and operational control, Mohit Yadav built a brand so efficient that an FMCG giant paid ₹3,000 cr to own it. #entrepreneurship #India #success #motivation #sales #brand

    Content & Demand Engine for B2B Companies with high-ACV | 100M+ impressions & $10M+ pipeline | CEO @Triangle

Over the last 6 months at Triangle, we’ve reviewed the performance of dozens of our Executive and Founder LinkedIn posts across all sectors. We pulled together reach, engagement, and story-type metrics, and three consistent patterns emerged. (1) Cultural hooks drive visibility. Posts that lead with a recognisable figure or big event attract high impressions. By tying in to these topics, you get broad distribution and big numbers. Then insert your idea, offer, company within this. Example: A tech leader building in the AI space opened with “Mark Zuckerberg wanted to buy Google.” The post reached 3.2M impressions. (2) Use proof points to build credibility. Executive posts that point to a real outcome (a campaign delivered, a deal closed, a client story) bump engagement rates significantly. Fewer eyeballs, but more meaningful interaction. That’s the kind of peer-recognition that moves you from “someone who talks” to “someone you want to buy from.” Example: A founder of a UK-based speaker bureau shared that they booked an Olympic gold medalist for a client. The post generated 26k impressions with 15 qualified MQLs. (3) Personal narrative and spotlighting others deepen the connection to your readers. When executives share a lived experience, like hardship, change, lessons learnt or they deliberately make someone else the hero, engagement spikes. You build trust at scale and deepen the connection with your audience. Example: A founder reflecting on 8 years of building their company reached 3.7k impressions with 1.57% engagement. Another spotlighting a client’s book launch hit 2.5k impressions and achieved 5.86% engagement. Actions you can take • Use a mix of formats rather than a single style. • Use a cultural hook when you need to amplify reach. • Use proof posts when you want to underpin your capability. • Use personal stories when you want to humanise your brand and deepen trust. • Track not just impressions but meaningful engagement: comments from peers, ICP engagement, follow-ups, profile views, DMs initiated. The difference between executives who get seen or not – is down to having a system in place. At Triangle, we build that system. Turning your ideas, proof points, and stories into a consistent flow of credibility, reach, and opportunity.
