Most creators think they need more content. They don't. They need a better system. I've spent the past few years growing on LinkedIn, and one lesson keeps proving itself over and over. The creators who grow the fastest aren't creating every day. They're multiplying every idea they already have. Most people post once. Get a few likes. Then move on to the next topic. Meanwhile, the biggest creators are turning one idea into an entire content machine. That's the difference. Here's what that actually looks like. → Start with one core idea. A valuable insight, story, lesson, or framework worth sharing. → Turn it into a LinkedIn post. Start conversations and validate the idea. → Convert it into a carousel. Explain the concept visually so people save and share it. → Create a short-form video. Reach audiences that prefer watching over reading. → Expand it into a newsletter. Add stories, examples, and deeper insights. → Publish it as a blog. Capture long-term SEO traffic that compounds over time. → Design quote graphics. Turn your strongest lines into shareable visuals. → Build a checklist or guide. Give people something practical they can use immediately. → Host a webinar or live session. Answer questions and build trust in real time. → Use it in your DMs. Great content shouldn't end with a post. It should start conversations. That's not content repurposing anymore. That's a content ecosystem. One idea. 10+ assets. Weeks of consistent content. Most creators burn out because they keep chasing the next idea. The smartest ones build systems that make every idea work harder. Create once. Distribute everywhere. That's how you stay consistent without constantly starting from zero. Save this post. The next time you create something valuable, don't hit publish and move on. Ask yourself: "How many more pieces of content can I create from this one idea?" I'd love to know... How many formats do you currently repurpose your content into? 1️⃣ Just one 2️⃣ 2–5 formats 3️⃣ 10+ formats Drop your answer below. If this changed the way you think about content Repost it so another creator stops leaving great ideas on the table.

Most publishers treat podcast transcripts like finished content. They’re not— and it’s costing you. Repurposing raw transcripts into “shoppable articles,” email drips, or member Q&As may seem efficient, but it’s lazy content. Transcripts are raw material, not strategy. Without transformation, the result is: ✅ Rambling, unfocused content ✅ Poor SEO + low engagement ✅ Weak conversion performance ✅ Member features that feel anything but premium. Repurposing Done Right = ROI Amplified Smart publishers don’t just reformat content; they transform insights for each channel. → Shoppable Articles  Don’t just embed links. Build around the product discussion. Add comparisons, specs, reviews, expert POVs — and optimise for search intent. E.g. SmartCompany could create “Founder Picks: Productivity Tools” as evergreen affiliate content from SaaS interviews. → Email Courses  Don’t copy-paste transcripts. Turn a single episode theme into a structured journey with tips, templates, and outcomes. E.g. AFR could turn a finance podcast into a gated “First Homebuyer Email Bootcamp.” → Member Q&As  Never post raw. Edit for clarity and flow. Add commentary, bonus data, or a short video follow-up. E.g. Crikey could turn political interviews into “insight editions” with charts + analysis. → Sales Enablement Assets Don’t overlook internal value. Repurpose transcripts into one-pagers, objection-handling guides, or talking point decks. E.g. A B2B publisher like Which-50 Media could arm sales with highlights from expert interviews to spark client conversations. 5 Rules for High-ROI Repurposing: 1. Transcripts ≠ content — they’re raw insight, not final form 2. Each format needs value adds — not just reformatting 3. Structure is everything — clarity, intent, scannability 4. Optimise per channel — SEO, email, member, sales 5. Respect your audience — don’t waste their time or trust Stop republishing noise. Start building channel-native content that compounds value across editorial, audience, and revenue teams. What’s your most effective podcast content repurposing tactic? “1 long-form content piece can be repurposed to every other platform” is the biggest scam in content marketing. Let’s look at the stats - in the last 90 days, we generated: • 21,496 YouTube views • 801,622 LinkedIn impressions • 799 newsletter subscribers (Which resulted in 110 meetings with potential clients.) Now, these are not even close to “viral numbers”. But getting these results still took a bunch of work from a bunch of content strategists who understand their respective platforms. Social media gurus will tell you this is possible by recording 1 video and letting an AI tool turn it into content for 5 different platforms. This is far from reality. Here’s a tactical breakdown of what it takes to manage each platform today: 1. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 My LinkedIn profile is responsible for the majority of our new business. Naturally, most effort goes here. Every week, I sit down with my content strategist Max for a 1h content call. Out of the transcript, he extracts snippets and turns them into 5 standalone posts. You COULD call this repurposing, but it’s not random. Max knows exactly which questions to ask and how to package the info into a post that works on LinkedIn. ____ 2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗲 This is our “irrational” bet. We believe the future of marketing is raw, authentic documentation. In our Youtube vlogs, we do exactly that. I film my day-to-day, then our dedicated YouTube manager Tim takes those snippets and turns them into one vlog per week. He knows exactly how to create the storyline and edit the vlog so it perfectly showcases our vibe. ____ 3. 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 Our way of providing more value beyond LinkedIn and growing our email list. Same thing here: It’s not as simple as taking 1-2 LinkedIn posts and calling it a newsletter. While we do repurpose some LinkedIn content, we have 1 person dedicated to combining the right info into the proper format, creating visuals and adding other info as part of ongoing newsletter formats (e.g.: our “Content Founder of the Week”) ____ 4. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 We recently added this because we saw how many people following us from YouTube also have Instagram. We tried AI clippers in the past to turn YouTube videos into Instagram reels - it didn't perform well. So we brought on Joaquin full-time to focus exclusively on Instagram. He turns existing video content into standalone reels with their own storylines. Each piece works independently. ____ Each platform has different nuances. It's not as simple as repurposing, it's (re) packaging content contextual to the best practices  and nuances of each channel We are betting on talent that can master each platform We are betting on the content strategist. - What do you think? I have a beginners mind :)

That webinar you ran six months ago? It’s not just a webinar—it’s marketing gold waiting to be mined. Here’s the magic of content repurposing: one great piece of content can live on across platforms, formats, and audiences. That webinar could become: ✅ A blog post highlighting the key takeaways ✅ A LinkedIn carousel breaking down your insights ✅ A short video for Instagram or TikTok ✅ A thread on X, sharing actionable ideas ✅ A case study to build credibility You’re sitting on a treasure trove of content opportunities, but it takes a strategic mindset to see the potential and make it work for you. Repurposing isn’t just about squeezing more out of your work—it’s about meeting your audience where they are with content that resonates in the format they prefer. Here’s how to get started: 1. Audit your existing content. Look for webinars, whitepapers, or even old posts with untapped potential. 2. Slice and dice the content into digestible formats tailored for each platform. 3. Add value—adapt, don’t copy-paste. Make each piece stand out by speaking directly to the platform’s audience. Need more ideas or a process for repurposing? Let’s talk — Foundation Marketing will help you see that your next great piece of content might already exist—it just needs a little transformation. #ContentMarketing

One of the smartest things you can do for your marketing and business development is to stop treating your content as one-and-done and to start repurposing it. If you’ve invested time in creating something valuable you’re leaving opportunities on the table if you only use it once. Repurposing is how you extend its reach, reinforce your expertise and make the most of the work you’ve already done. Here are smarter ways to repurpose content: ✔️Slice long-form content into micro-content. Take a 1500-word article and pull out 5 to 7 strong ideas that each become their own social media post. ✔️Change the medium. Turn a webinar recording into a short video series or an article into a carousel or infographic. Different formats reach different learners. ✔️Build a theme series. Link several related posts into a weekly or monthly series that keeps you top of mind and positions you as the go-to on that topic. ✔️Reshare with a twist. Post the same piece again but change the lead-in. Frame it around a question, a new trend or a current event. ✔️Create evergreen libraries. Pull your best performing posts together into toolkits, guides or resource pages to which you can point clients and prospects (this is a great way to check in with contacts and provide value). ✔️Elevate key quotes. Use a statistic, case study or strong line from a piece as a standalone graphic or thought leadership snippet. ✔️Cross-pollinate channels. Adapt content from LinkedIn for your email newsletter, your blog or speaking notes for panels and client meetings. Most people in your network won’t see your content the first time for a variety of reasons. Repurposing it ensures your message travels further, reaches more of the right people and reinforces for what you want to be known while enabling you to be more efficient and effective. What is the most overlooked way to grow with influencer content?   Repurposing. Most brands are missing a massive opportunity by not doing it properly.   I see brands spend good money on creator content, post it once, and then forget about it. That is not a strategy. Repurposing properly means understanding that influencer content is not just a one-time post. It is a library of trusted, relatable material that can be reused across the entire customer journey.   I take the best-performing creator clips and reshape them to fit multiple moments. A short gameplay breakdown becomes a product teaser. A creator’s honest reaction can work in an email or resurface during your next campaign. Even a single quote from a livestream can give your product page personality or drive new comments on social.   It’s not about stretching content thin. It is about using content the way your audience consumes it, in layers, across channels, over time.   Are you still thinking in posts, or are you building something bigger?

I doubled a real estate client's organic traffic last year. Didn't publish a single new blog post. Here's the 5-step system we used 👇 This client had years of great content, a solid team, and they were doing everything "right." But traffic had flatlined. Leads dried up. And their competitors were showing up everywhere… in AI answers, in SERPs, on social. The problem wasn't their content quality. It was distribution. So instead of cranking out more blog posts, we repurposed what they already had. Here's how: 1/ Find where your audience actually hangs out We used SparkToro (free tier works fine) to research what platforms, search tools, and sites their audience was spending time on. Turns out their readers weren't reading. They were watching YouTube. Same information. Completely different format. That gap was the whole opportunity. 2/ Build your "greatest hits" library Don't try to repurpose everything. Go into GA4, pull the last 12 months of page data, and sort by views. You're looking for pages with high traffic AND evergreen topics. Something like "How to stage your home for a quick sale" works. Your 2019 market predictions? Not so much. Evergreen content stays relevant, fits multiple formats, and is way more likely to get picked up by AI systems. 3/ Match the content to the right format We turned blog posts into casual video interviews (just a phone camera and a colleague asking questions). Chopped longform YouTube videos into Shorts and Reels. Ran blog content through ChatGPT to generate social posts for X, Reddit, and Facebook. One Reddit post we repurposed from a blog got more engagement than the original article ever did. 4/ Flip long guides into AI-ready summary pages This one's huge. According to Semrush, AI search is on track to overtake traditional Google search within two years. Grand View Research, McKinsey… even when you search their full reports by name, it's the shorter summary landing pages that show up in Google's AI Overviews. Not the 50-page PDF. Take your longest posts, tighten them up, restructure with clear answers front and center, and you've got content that AI platforms actually want to reference. 5/ Refresh your weakest content every 2-3 months Go back to your worst-performing posts. Update the stats, improve the visuals, and combine thin articles into stronger guides. Then run the whole repurposing cycle again. The results for this client? 📈 148% more referral traffic from social and YouTube 📈 118% more organic sessions 📈 2,814% increase in AI referral traffic year-over-year

Repurposing > Reinventing Most creators burn out because they think they need brand-new ideas every day. That’s not true. Your audience doesn’t remember everything you’ve posted. And every week, new people are finding you for the first time. That’s why repurposing is powerful. It’s not repetition, it’s reinforcement. Here’s how I get more mileage from one idea: ✅ A text post becomes a carousel. ✅ A carousel becomes a short video. ✅ A video becomes a one-liner quote. One insight. Three different entry points. Why it works: ✔ Different people prefer different formats—some read, some swipe, some watch. ✔ Repetition builds brand recall—people act after seeing an idea multiple times. ✔ Repurposing saves time while multiplying reach. The best creators aren’t reinventing daily. They’re reinforcing their core truths until they stick. Growth doesn’t come from saying more. It comes from saying the right things, consistently, in ways your audience actually consumes.

A Content Director told me yesterday: “We’re sitting on so much unused content, it’s insane.” Most teams have a BIG distribution problem, and it's costing them more than they realize. Marketers churn out webinars, eBooks, and articles—then promote them with a couple of LinkedIn posts before jumping to the next project. They're focused on volume. More blog posts. More webinars. More, more, more. No matter how much they produce, they're always behind. Overwhelmed. Frustrated by the low ROI. But here's the thing: you can't expect to get full ROI from your content if you're only promoting it with a couple of LinkedIn posts. Content distribution isn’t an afterthought. It determines whether your content will be successful or not. Here's the distribution playbook we use for B2B companies with long sales cycles: 1. We develop highly relevant topics based on data from customer research and recent sales calls. 2. We select 3 subject matter experts within our client's organization who are comfortable on camera and willing to build their LinkedIn presence. 3. For each topic, we conduct a 1-hour video interview with an SME. 4. We curate the best insights from each interview recording and turn them into 1 long-form article, 5 video clips, and 8 LinkedIn posts. 5. We publish this content from the personal LinkedIn profiles of your SMEs (3-5 times per week). Personal LinkedIn profiles get 5x the reach of company pages, so you're missing out big time if you only focus on your company page. 6. We repurpose the interview content across other channels: → Articles and video clips on your website → Full interviews on YouTube → A weekly newsletter with the best insights 7. After 3 months, we launch LinkedIn Thought Leader Ads to amplify your experts' best-performing posts. 8. After 6 months, we launch an employee advocacy program to turn other employees into a powerful organic marketing channel with massive reach. We repurpose existing content to fuel this program. _____ 👉 Is your team stretched thin and are your SMEs too busy to write? At Leadwave, we've helped 50+ B2B companies create thought leadership articles, video clips, and LinkedIn posts from interviews with their experts. Stop thinking of a blog post as “just content.” In AI search, 1 blog = 8× visibility And that’s often the difference between content that sits on your site… and content that actually gets discovered, cited, and repeated by AI systems. Most brands publish once and stop there. But AI platforms don’t just read your blog. They also scan: - forums for mentions - FAQs for direct answers - videos for transcripts - LinkedIn for authority - external sites for validation - internal links for entity relationships So if you want one piece of content to actually work harder, here’s what to do: Turn 1 blog post into 8 AI search signals: 1) Forum seeding Turn the core insight into helpful answers on Reddit, Quora, and niche communities. 2) Short video Summarise the answer in 30-60 seconds for Shorts, TikTok, or LinkedIn video. 3) FAQ expansion Add 5 real user questions directly onto the page. 4) LinkedIn post Repurpose the insight into thought leadership and expert commentary. 5) Citation outreach Pitch the angle, data, or framework to blogs, newsletters, directories, or journalists. 6) Visual breakdown Turn the page into a diagram, carousel, infographic, or slide. 7) Entity linking Strengthen the topic by linking to relevant entities, concepts, and supporting pages. 8) Audio / transcript layer Record a short explanation or walkthrough and make it indexable. That’s how one blog stops being “a blog” and starts becoming a multi-surface discovery asset. Because in 2026, AI visibility isn’t just about publishing more. It’s about making your content show up across every format AI systems actually parse and trust. More coverage > more volume. If you want to learn how to create content that actually earns AI citations, mentions, and visibility, we’re covering this live in our free webinar: How to create and optimise content for AI citations. 📍 Free to join 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dm_ptaKN ♻️ Repost if this changed how you think about content repurposing 🔔 Follow Emilia Möller for more AEO / SEO / GEO strategies
