You can change whether you see the total number of likes on posts and reels that appear on Instagram.

Posts and reels you see

To hide or unhide like counts for others' posts and reels:
  1. Click More icon, represented by a hamburgerMore in the bottom left, then click Settings iconSettings.
  2. Below What you see, click Like and share counts.
  3. Click Toggle off or Toggle on next to Hide like & share counts to turn this setting on or off.

Your posts in feed

You can also choose whether others can see like and view counts for posts you share. You'll still be able to see the total number of likes on your own posts.
To hide or unhide like and view counts before sharing your post:
  1. Before sharing a post, click Advanced settings at the bottom.
  2. Click Toggle off or Toggle on next to Hide like and view counts on this post to turn this setting on or off.
